compare and contrast

The book I am reading is the Outsiders  By :S.E Hinton which is about a heroic story of friendship and a place of belonging. The story's about a boy named pony boy who can always believe and trust in his brothers and his friends, Johnny and Soda. Pony-boy is a 14 year old who can't trust anyone else though  for one reason because of  his parents tragic death. He also cant trust anyone else because  him and his brothers are being hunted by  the Socs , a rich murderess cruel gang. The two gangs the greaser and the Socs are really different yet much alike then you think .Some comparisons that prove my statement is their disregard for the law such as  the two gang  groups both like to fight to death literally. They both like to mug people and they both steal  from bars.

    In the outsiders the two gangs both have members that do criminal acts such as  try to steal alcohol. The two gangs hate each other for  the petty reason of being poor,or rich.The reason the greasers are poor ,only  because there parents died,and they didn't have much left after there parents car accident.The greasers aren't really bad well because they  try to help young children, and all children .The greasers aren't selfish,they don't judge anyone,they do what they need to survive not be gangsters for fun, they risk their lives for people.

In the outsiders the greasers and Soc.s both go through the same day by day daily struggles , because they both have everyday normal problems like us such as having hard time getting girls,not getting grade,being high-school dropouts ,and having their family family members die,and risking everything to keep them selves and others alive,and trying to get money to buy food to eat. 

Here's some huge contrasts with greasers and Soc.s, the So.cs are different in certain ways such as, socs think their upper class meaning the better than everyone else ,and there very selfish.But that gives them no right to try to kill the greasers which the soc gang almost did with that knife stabbing at johnny ,who are only greasers because their poor and have nothing left.The greasers work for what they earn ,the Socc.s had everything handed to them.The socs drive around in their fancy cars picking up girls with how much money they have and try to help them selves,The greasers literally jumped in a fire to save some kids risking their own lives for them and they didn't even know them.

Pony boy and his brothers met these really nice girls cherry and Valerie who were good looking girls,but yet more of the upper class soc gang type deal .Although that may be true johnny and soda pony boys big bothers hit on the girls anyway but when theye were hanging out at the theater and left with them a soc car pulled up threating to brutally beat up them or kill them if they didnt give them there girls so eventually there girls just came with them there  were more soc members anyways the greasers were out numbered there girls gave in, and the greasers gave up but the girls truly liked the greasers more ,in conclusion pony boy grew bigger older and tougher and finally used some weapons on other gang members after all, maybe there life wasn't so great in the beginning but through time they learned to except and enjoy there life and life became a lot easier and better for them through time.

Theme:_Determination,struggles,The love of family___


Reasoning:___Their poor,they have been robed,they moved a lot. Their family  had crummy apartments and 1 really crummy house. And the love of there family is the main thing that held them together.

This theme is like the story (Yellow Fever )by: Laurie Hales Anderson which is about how families are dying from yellow fever .also a lot of the food has been infected so the people are starting to become more poor.

 They are becoming more poor because they are starting to farm their foods which have high chances of being s infected so they will have less to eat.I believe that there theme that i just mention lines up with the (House On Mango Street) .why because they have very bad struggles with being poor ,and sicknesses. my them in this paragraph is struggles.

Conclusion  what made her daughter get through the struggles is the love of her family.But also her mother and father and children  new they could withstand where they were living because they knew it wouldn't be forever.what made her also get through her trouble was hope.She had the hope that her crummy home was temporary that eventually they"ll have a real nice house in the future. So there family would be a lot more happy.

My Prediction

My prediction for the story the outsiders is that the main character pony boy will die because of the socs hatred towards them will lead to a tragic death .There are many examples of the socs hating the greasers ad least 3 examples of this occurring would be for one, Johnny getting mugged ,two Johnny getting cut and beat up, and so badly hurt to the point of almost bleeding to death and dying. Three When pony boy got mugged, also there’s been knife fights with them and many other examples etc. So this is my prediction for the story.

Character Development Essay about Misha in Milkweed by Jerry Spinelli.

In the beginning Milkweed by Jerry Spinelli Misha  didn’t have a name and he was stinky ,and filthy, and his clothes were dirty he didn’t remember his parents possibly even have had amnesia he lived alone and just lived where ever  he could find a place to stay didn’t have a job he was a young child not even a teenager yet but was close he had no food so he had to steal food and didn’t understand much of anything that was going on around him and there was a lot of war around him.

Misha changes throughout the story and he found some friends who he becomes as close as family with ,who mocked and tease him in the beginning but then helps him survive and tells him what he needs to do to not get in trouble he gave him a name he told who he was ,his friends  also helped him steal and they stole together they found places to stay ,and his friends also cleaned him up gave him a bath and cut his hair and  told him who to stay away from like forenstince the jackboots.

Misha meets Janine after she ketches him  stealing their tomatoes from them to survive so he and his friends can eat. But then misha returns to their house again because he loves hanging out with her and looking at her crystal clear shoe’s and then she starts give him different foods like potatoes that were in the ground  to long that were like candy. Misha then start stealing food for her like from the bakery. And misha gets invited to her birthday parties and he sees the fire o the candle and destroys the cake in fear of the fire on the birthday candles ,so he steals a bakery cake for her and he tells the story to his friend and his friend laughs with tears.

  Misha is like pony boy in the outsiders because Misha steal food and people look at him like a bad kid when he in reality steal because he is poor but he is a really caring kid who tries to save people from the holocaust, Just how pony boy tries to help little kids and steals because he is poor but he is a really great how he is helping kids and  people eventually start recognizing that.

 In conclusion mostly everyone except for maybe at least  2 Jews escaped from the holocaust but misha escapes on an American ship to America. Misha also talks a lot once he starts understanding stuff more and once he gets a lot more of great respect and where he has freedom of speech and he talks a lot so they made him a sales men who eventually got fired. Misha then gets married and has a divorce because of his outburst at night and his strange behavior  due to the holocaust. But then later in the years his daughter who he has never met shows him her  daughter his granddaughter, who doesn’t  have a middle name till his grandpa gives her one which her middle name is Janina named after misha’s old friend who went missing  not knowing if she ended up dying in the concentration camps or not ,and in the end he spend time with his granddaughter who he will tell her why her middle name is Janina in the near future.

The Right Time to Honor Our Military Heroes?

I think the right time to honor our heroes is Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, at a baseball game, or at official government ceremonies –these are examples of times when we, as Americans, typically honor our veterans and military heroes. However, at this time in our nation's history, it is even more important to honor these brave and loyal individuals as much as possible. The reason for this is because our country is in a state of war.There's been many wars such as  

1.)Civil War

2.) Revolutionary War.

3.) Wars of religion.

Here, in America, it is easy for us to forget that we are at war. Unless you have a friend or a relative currently serving in the military, you don't feel the sacrifice that these people experience on a daily basis. The war is very far from us, on another continent, many thousands of miles away. We remember what happened in our country on September 11, 2001  but as time passes those memories begin to fade. 

So the point i'm trying to come across is that we should really appreciate how good we have it and how our american heroes really care and try to protect us so we should always appreciate and honor what our american heroes are trying to do for us.

Pewaukee beach

What I would see at a Pewaukee beach is the shiny bright sun on the sparkling violet reddish orange dark blue water. I would see fish and algae I would also see the sand darkening as the sun goes down.

 Pewaukee beach  would be the best place to be because the Pewaukee beach is so wide open so free with the natural sent of the sea and sand just breathing with deep breaths in out out of the calming sent and watching that beautiful sun set in such a perfect view that so majestic so calming as the sun set just makes you almost fall asleep,as the suns suns warmth wraps around slowly beginning to fade.

cause and effect

I think cause and effect was person vs society because it talked about how the Germans the (society)   killed, tortured ,and murdered the Jews .The effect of the Germans was that  the Americans found out what was going on and  arrested them and if they would not surrender some would be forced to surrender.some of the torturement  included how  the Jews would get shot at for staying out out passed midnight,And how the Jews were disrespected because of stealing to try to let their families and themselves live ,and there also was a lot of war going on

Milkweed

I think the conflict was person vs society and the conflict was about that all the Jews were being captured and killed young or old it didn't really matter and they were so hated and dis respected that they got very little pay also so little they had to steal food people hated them for stealing but they had to do what they need to to stay alive they had to hide from the Germans.They had to were bands around there arms just to separate them from people to try to make it clear that they weren't people.And the worst part that arm bands did was get them in concentration camps there was also so much war the Jews had way more laws then other people  including being shot or killed for staying out past midnight and it was just there race that made the Germans hated them so much they didn't even  have a real reason to hate them they just thought the Jews were the cause of economic problems and they thought Jews were evil but not realizing the Germans them selves were evil the Germans didn't even look for proof that the Jews were the down fall of there life they just assumed a false rumor which the Jews had nothing to do with.

I think the resolution is that the USA army would try to attack or kill the Germans due to there crimes against the Jews.

Donny Boys

I never thought a simple, average, every day one dollar pull tab, that you most likely are not going to win money on, would give me out of all people the very unbelievably  rare 75 dollar cash prize. Now what are the odds of that!!!

About a couple of months ago my grandfather, my mom, and I went to Donny Boys, a bar my uncles friend Donny owns.  My mom left the place just as we got there. I  guess its just not her thing, but anyways me and my grandpa both knew the first thing we noticed out of the whole bar were the pool tables, the menus and games, and the packer game on TV. Including all that great stuff, still the first thing we noticed was the huge jar of pull tabs. Now that's gotta mean something, usually we won about three bucks tops,  but anyways my grandpa ordered me a Sprite and he got a Coke. We were just relaxing watching the Packer game, but don't   get me wrong, I wasn't shaking on my chair because of being hyper from the sugar or caffeine in the Sprite I was all pumped  up thinking about the pull tabs. I was about to burst but that's when i finally got my first pull tab from grandpa praying for a win over and over until i had about 19 that when i just was ready the make like a tree and leave i was about to just throw in the towel when my grandpa said how about one more and i said  whatever hoping for at-least won dollar first fruit on the tab water melon second fruit on the tab water melon there was sweat of nervousness dripping down my face third tab i had a spine tingling minty feeling in my throat as if i could really breath feeling light as possible smiling and cheering telling everyone. MY mom came in Donny boys not believing what happened but then she saw the card and i could tell she had the same expression as me i think everyone in the bar did.

This is a good mystery book about a boy named Todd and a sister named Claudia who picks on her little brother named Todd  who eventually  gets a demonic mirror from his dad which the mirror has their exact replicas that tries to  take over there life and put them in the mirror world with a bunch of monsters who trap them in there and Todd and his friend are trying to get out but eventually they do ,but Todd so terrified of the ghost mirror he finally breaks the mirror which had a waning death note telling him to get rid of the mirror so in the end death himself contacts him and asks if he got his note.

• The Tale Of the Lockless Monster

Hi, my name Israel Roth about a couple months ago my uncle invited his friend Dustin to our house and we were all hanging out watching TV and just relaxing but then my uncle kappy’s friend Dustin brought up the idea to go  fishing so I thought that would be pretty cool I mean I never went fishing before so after all going fishing sounds pretty cool so we decided to go fishing tomorrow so later that night I went to bed then I woke up the next morning I poured myself a bowl of cereal we hadn’t gone grocery shopping for a while so cereal was all that was available for breakfast I didn’t care to much cause I wasn’t that hungry  anyways besides if  I did get hungry me and my uncle and Dustin would probably ketch some fish now that would take my appetite away since fish is definitely not my favorite food but probably my least favorite food, but anyways here I am on a beautiful  Sunday afternoon in a boat on water sparkling from the sunlight and man o man I thought it was going to be exciting it was kind of relaxing but we hadn’t caught any fish yet so actually so for its been kind of boring it’s been like 4 hours already but the thing that really got me worried was the scary fish tales you know of the lockless monster but come on I knew the tales weren’t true but anyways its sundown already but anyways that fish tale made me still kind of scared then what was scarier was when I realized I’m out here with my uncle and my uncles friend alone with no witnesses so dark so cold and the air felt so damp ice cold breezes came through giving me chills and Goosebumps I felt so worried so scared so pale I was so pale as for my uncle and same for his friend I tried to calm down I couldn’t shivering at every movement and sounds I was sailing between two giant rock cliffs and then I I I stuttered and shivered at the sound of scraping against the rock mountain seeing  rocks tremble and hearing rocks fall hearing sounds of rocks just dropping in the water me and my uncle screamed at the dark shadows of a giant creature so cold so dark so evil and our  boat just stopped as we turned around seeing Dustin passed out but now that was it we moved full speed out of the as we left I was sleeping in the boat but there voices faded with sounds of screams of freedom but I felt so cold so wet  I felt like I was sleeping in a dark slimy cave waking up I saw a pinks slimy cushion I was sitting on I felt nervous my uncle forgot me by accident  fell out of the bout looking forward I saw dozens of white pointy rocks I fell down this deep dark black hole and hit the ground it seemed like yellow acids all around in this slimy dark cave I heard an owe realizing the was others with me I knew I was not alone trying but I was trying to see the exit of the cave but then a horrid smell came about I felt like I was being sucked away in the thick grouse goop of something I didn’t know what but knew I had to get out of here and then I  shot out of the cave in the mist of the waters swimming up looking saw this devilish creature with pure black eyes and then I realized I was in the lockless monsters stomach not a cave  so I swam like crazy trying to get away but then  felt so tall I was 200 feet above the ground hearing a roar the creature opened his mouth and I  ripped and finally pulled its tooth out and threw it in his mouth as he choked on his tooth he died so shocked so crazy I could never tell anyone hay ad least my first fish I caught was big but I couldn’t laugh right now cause what just happened was  so terrifying I managed to tell people they laughed but eventually checked it out seeing that I was serious I got paid by bill gates with a $1000,000 dollar check and was famous for ketching the monster ,so me and my uncle went to Hollywood and uncovered the lockless monster tale actually it was me then feeling like a hero I heard a bell rang from the sky and I realized it was my alarm clock and it  was all a dream and I woke up realizing that I was a lockless monster in the ocean with lockless monster families  I told the other lockless monster my dream they laughed and said don’t worry humans aren’t real. THE END
